Born in 1974, Matt Golden lives and works in London. He studied sculpture at The Royal College of Art and in 2008 founded The Russian Club Gallery www.therussianclubgallery.com. He is represented by Limoncello, London www.limoncellogallery.co.uk.
Golden’s artistic practice incorporates a number of processes or methods. They include sculpture, painting, photography, magazine commissions, the development of a fictional character, role-playing, commissioning street-sellers and programming a gallery.
He was awarded The Vordemberge-Gildewart Scholarship in 2007. Solo exhibitions include; Limoncello Gallery / Bischoff/Weiss / Art House Foundation (all London), Kyoto Zokei University, Japan / Shalini Ganendra Fine Art, Malaysia. Group shows include; Annely Juda Fine Art, London / Museum Wiesbaden and Nassauischer Kunstverein, Wiesbaden, Germany / Musee du Jeu de Paume, Paris, France / Kyoto Art Walk, Japan. International residencies include Japan, Germany and Malaysia.
