At this critical stage, a period of relative security in order to explore new avenues or consolidate existing work is often crucial. Applicants, who are nominated by experts and practitioners in the field, are awarded on the basis of both talent and need. Fellows of the Arts Foundation include Rufus Norris, Wayne McGregor, Michel Faber, Lynette Yiadom Boake, Brothers Quay, Carol Morley, Ali Smith, Alice Oswald, Ken Eastman, Nick Collon, Susan Gritton and many more.
