Sarah Kane's 4.48 Psychosis at the Lyric

  • Although Sarah Kane said she didn't want any adaptations of her plays, she also said she didn't want her work to become a museum piece. Her estate, 15 years after her death, has now allowed 4.48 Psychosis to be adapted into an opera for a project between the Royal Opera House and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The show opens on the 24th May at Lyrics Hammersmith until the 28th. Directed by Ted Huffman and music composed by Philip Venables who approached the estate with the idea we await to see the outcome.
