Orhan Boztas

Shortlisted in 2013 for Screenwriting

Orhan Boztas was born in Glasgow to Turkish/Finnish parents and raised in south London. Leaving university with a handful of short films under his belt he worked as an editor and composer before receiving interest in his writing from Screen South. During a further period of study, this time a Screenwriting MA at the NFTS, he wrote the animation Stanley Pickle with director Victoria Mather. The short film went onto become the most awarded film in the history of the school.

Since graduating he has completed commissions for two feature adaptations of popular novels including Dinner for director Menno Meyjes. His current film in development Turk-ish draws from his own personal experience and was selected for the Regards Croises development scheme.
