Leave a Legacy

In many ways the Award has allowed me to gestate for the year and develop as an artist in ways I wouldn’t have had the creative space for had the finances not been available.

Sam Lee, Folk Music fellow 2011

Leaving a legacy is a wonderful way to ensure your wishes and matters close to your heart are carried out, and that the people and issues that you care passionately about are supported into the future. The Arts Foundation has a history of working thoughtfully with individuals and families to ensure that they leave a lasting legacy to arts and culture in the UK.

If you have already made a will and would like to leave a gift to the Arts Foundation, you can do so by making a simple addition to your existing will called a codicil and would advise you to speak to a solicitor for further advice on this. As a registered charity (no.1000001), any gift left to the Arts Foundation in your will would not be subject to Inheritance Tax.

If you are considering leaving a legacy and gift to the Arts Foundation we would be delighted to arrange an informal conversation and provide you with the information you require.

Please contact our Director, Mary Jane Edwards to arrange an informal call for more information:
