The Arts Foundation is delighted to announce the first award category of the 30th edition of the Arts Foundation Futures Awards 2023 is Bio Design!
The Bio Design Award supports creative practitioners designing with biomaterials for the environment. Questioning how we accelerate our transition away from extractive and carbon-centric design and materials, the Award goes beyond environmental sustainability, to include practices and design innovations that work towards symbiosis with nature.
We are thrilled to continue our support of forward-looking designers and creative practitioners working with materials or service design approaches that are regenerative, with the capacity to restore, renew or revitalise the environment.
The recipient of the Arts Foundation Futures Awards 2023 for Bio Design receives a £10,000 Fellowship, and Shortlisted Artists receive £1,000.
The Bio Design Award is supported in partnership with The David Collins Foundation.
