The Arts Foundation is delighted to announce the second award category of the 30th edition of the Arts Foundation Futures Awards 2023 is Dance Theatre!
The Dance Theatre Award supports dancers, dance-makers, choreographers, and artists with a dance or choreographic-centred practice, exploring movement and the body.
While Dance Theatre and dance performance are art forms in their own right, dance artists, dance-makers, and choreographers have come to play an increasingly pivotal role across a broad spectrum of arts and culture. Reaching new audiences and developing collaborations in fashion, music, visual arts, and design, but also in other sectors such as science and health. The Award seeks to support emerging bodies of cross-disciplinary work and artists that push the boundaries of how Dance is shared with audiences and a wider public.
The Dance Theatre Award is supported in partnership with The Maria Björnson Memorial Fund.
In the coming weeks, we look forward to announcing this year’s independent Jury of artists and industry professionals who will select the Shortlisted Artists and winning Fellow.
