The Arts Foundation is delighted to announce the fourth award category for the 30th edition of the Arts Foundation Futures Awards 2023 is Electronic Music.
The Electronic Music Award supports conceptual and grassroots experimental music artists recasting the boundaries between music genres and incorporating new technologies.
The focus of the Award acknowledges the impact of the pandemic and decade-long austerity measures, closing clubs, bars and community and youth centres, which has impacted the UK’s electronic music infrastructure, and how new sounds, music and culture are generated. The Award supports artists and practices that have found alternative means of developing and creating the conditions for electronic music culture to continue to flourish.
In the coming weeks, we look forward to announcing this year’s independent Jury of artists and industry professionals who will select the Shortlisted Artists and winning Fellow.
