The Arts Foundation Auction raises funds for independent artists and creatives

After an incredibly warm and generous evening, we are elated to share that auction hammer sales totalled £135,000 in support of artists and creatives in the UK!

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and supported The Arts Foundation Fundraising Dinner & Auction last week!

We could not be more grateful to all those who bid, and the artists, past Arts Foundation Fellows, studios and organisations who so kindly donated extraordinary artworks and experiences to this fundraising endeavour:

Andrew Cranston
Bridge Theatre
Jeremy Deller
Peter Doig
Tracey Emin
Frieze London & Frieze Masters
Antony Gormley
Edwin Heathcote & The Cosmic House
Holly Hendry
Jochen Holz
Sam Lee
Wayne McGregor
Rufus Norris & The National Theatre
Ali Smith
Bethany Williams
Rose Wylie

All proceeds from the evening will go towards our annual Fellowship Programme, The Arts Foundation Futures Awards. The awards provide vital financial support to promising artists and creatives at a pivotal moment in their careers, enabling them to concentrate on their creative development, experiment, and realise their artistic potential. Amidst the ongoing cost of living crisis, this type of unconditional funding is more vital than ever.

With special thanks to the phenomenal auctioneer, Michael Macaulay SVP, Deputy Chairman, Contemporary Arts Sothebys; our wonderful hosts Toklas for such a delicious seasonal feast; and Akeim Toussaint Buck (Dance Theatre Fellow, 2023) and Sam Lee (Folk Music Fellow, 2011) for such captivating and beautiful performances, which rounded off an unforgettable evening!
