We are happy to announce that Love Ssega (Music for Change Fellow, 2022) will be opening The Arts Foundation Futures Awards Ceremony with a new arrangement of ‘Our World (Fight for Air)’, with pianist Liam Mugwanya!
Love Ssega is a British-Ugandan musician, performing artist and songwriter, and the London Philharmonia Orchestra Artist In Residence 2022-23. He has built a varied career collaborating across art forms, while also speaking up for social, educational and environmental issues. His music and compositions, blending a vibrant mix of New Wave, 80s Hip-Hop, African polyrhythms and NYC Disco into smart modern Pop, have been played internationally from South London to LA and the Sydney Opera House. His work has received radio support across BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 3 and BBC 6Music’s flagship new music programmes
The Awards Ceremony is presented in partnership with Leeds 2023 : Year of Culture and will take place at the Howard Assembly Room, Opera North on:
