Brighton based Laura Ducceschi is an independent Creative. Working in the live art arena since 2000, I am currently working in a freelance context to devise programmes, produce new projects and develop creative ideas. I am driven by live work that strives to access the space bigger than our mortal selves. That which helps us connect, promote compassion, a sense of belonging and ultimately inspire us to make a positive contribution to the world.
I crusade for the work of musicians to be treated as fine art and alike. Music is my primary discipline but I largely work in a non-traditional music industry model. Having worked amongst other disciplines including visual art, theatre and contemporary dance, I am passionate about work where disciplines collide, that rarely fit in a neat box. I am committed to research, new ideas and artistic practice itself – enabling thorough development processes to produce ambitious new projects. My heart lies in projects that unite visual and sonic worlds and carry a collaborative, inclusive approach to the work.
I believe wholeheartedly in collaboration; allowing and supporting the creative process to be pushed out of a comfort zone and into new territory. I invite artists of all disciplines to get in contact to discuss potential ideas.
Previous roles include:
Music Producer, Brighton Dome And Festival
Head of Live Programming, De La Warr Pavilion
