Jeremy Herbert

Fellow in 1995 for Theatre Design

Herbert is an award-winning artist and stage designer. He has had a long connection with the Royal Court, where he collaborated with Sarah Kane on the acclaimed premieres of Cleansed and 4.48 Psychosis. He is Associate Designer at the Young Vic, where his credits include HamletThe Glass MenagerieBlackta and his experimental theatre installation Safe House, in collaboration with Gabriella Sonabend. His opera credits include the world premiere of Furrer’s La bianca notte for Hamburg State Opera and Rodelinda for English National Opera, directed by Richard Jones.

Herbert has created installations and immersive performances for the Ruhrtriennale and Artangel.
