Since beginning to produce independently 10 years ago, Jo Crowley has collaborated with numerous independent artists to make diverse work. Her mantra is to be involved right across a body of work by an artist or company thereby sharing a mutual commitment to the collaboration into the foreseeable future. She has produced and managed award-winning theatre company 1927 since 2007 and toured their work to 111 festivals and venues in the UK and internationally.
Jo has also produced and managed for many years the entire portfolio of artist Kazuko Hohki an artist, musician, storyteller and performer and is also an advisor and mentor to a number of emerging and independent artists. For two years now Jo has taken on the directorship of the Total Theatre Awards, which bring work shown at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, by often-unknown artist to the attention of UK and international programmers, funders, critics and audiences. Should she win the fellowship she plans, among other things, to develop the awards and the organisation beyond its existing remit.
