John Frankland

John Frankland was born in 1961 in Rochdale and obtained his BA from Goldsmith’s College, London. Recent exhibitions include ‘The Gathering’ at Longside Gallery, Yorkshire, ‘Boule to Braid’ at the Lisson Gallery, London, and ‘John Frankland and Elizabeth Magill’ at the Russian Club, London. He has made several Public Art projects, most recently ‘Boulder’ – which comprised of the installation of 2 monumental granite boulders into 2 London parks, filmed and documented by Chris Dorley- Brown. He has had solo exhibitions at Matt’s Gallery, Peer and the Royal Festival Hall in London, Project Art Centre, Dublin, and had work on permanent display at the Saatchi Gallery (boundary road) from 1995 –1998. His work is in private collections in London and Sweden and in the Arts Council and British Council collections. He is represented by Matt`s gallery, London.
