Matt Golden

Fellow in 2011 for Sculpture

London-based artist Matt Golden (b. 1974, Salisbury, England) is a graduate of
The Royal College of Art (2005) and was winner of the Vordemberge Gildewart
Scholarship in 2006. He established and ran the The Russian Club Gallery in East
London, from 2008 to 2012. Now run in varying degrees as a fashionphotography
studio; music and film-screening venue, it has provided him with
studio-space and a host of creative individuals coming-and-going over the past
decade. This has lead to the Club’s modus operandi providing Golden and his
artist wife Natsue (they now work under the name Golden Family) with a unique
experience and collaborative platform and context for their expanding practice.
Matt continues to curate under the Russian Club moniker including most recently
at Annely Juda Fine Art, London.

KL, Malaysia; Kyoto Zokei University, Japan; Residency Wohnung Felix Rehfeld,
Bremen, Germany. Matt and Natsue write and perform music together under
different aliases including Juan Carlode and Golden Family Band
