Tanya Burns

Fellow in 1996 for Lighting Design

After being awarded the Arts Foundation Fellowship in Lighting Design, Tanya chose to develop her interest in lighting by studying for a MSc in Light & Lighting at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. Subsequently moving into large scale event & environmental lighting design with the additional opportunities to incorporate her theatrical experience into her projects. This included Ericsson, Mobile World Congress in Barcelona 2014; Jaguar Landrover, NYC Motorshow 2014; Ericsson, NAB in Las Vegas 2014; Ericsson, IBC in Amsterdam 2014.

Tanya became a full time member of the Imagination Lighting Department in 2005, utilising creative lighting for clients as wide ranging as Samsung, Land Rover, Ford and BT.  She was the lighting Designer for St Ann’s Warehouse, a new theatre building in Brooklyn, New York City with Charcoal Blue and worked with Creative Concepts as a Lighting Consultant to the National Theatre Future Project.
