As befits the title, this award includes the plethora of comic art practices in the UK both on the web and on paper. From monthly sequentials to graphic novels and webzines the award will include self-published and published work focusing on those that are pushing the boundaries of the artform.

Finalists for this award will be announced in mid-September, followed by a display of their work at the Cartoon Museum from 19 Oct – 1 Dec. This will include a talk with Comic Laureate Hannah Berry and all the finalists on 19 Oct at midday.
