Yomi Ṣode is a Nigerian-British writer and playwright. His debut collection of story and poetry, Manorism, was shortlisted for the Rathbones Folio Prize 2023 and the T S Eliot Prize 2022. Manorism was adapted for the stage and presented at the Southbank Centre in 2022. His works for performance also include his 2017 show, COAT, and the 2020 libretto Remnants, written in collaboration with James B. Wilson and Chineke! Orchestra. In 2021 Yomi presented, and breathe… a powerful tale of death, mourning and young masculinity and the Almedia theatre in London. Yomi is a Complete Works alumnus and a member of Malika’s Poetry Kitchen. He is the founder of BoxedIn, First Five, The Daddy Diaries, and the mentorship programme, 12 in 12.
